The North Redondo Beach Business Association will host a debate and forum Thursday at Redondo Beach City Hall for candidates in the March 3 Redondo Beach municipal elections.

The only contested race in the March elections is for District 3, which primarily covers North Redondo Beach. Five candidates—Eric Coleman, Sam Kartounian, Christian Horvath, Candace Allen Nafissi and Sandy Marchese—are vying to replace termed-out Councilman Pat Aust.

The debate for the District 3 candidates “will feature a slate of pre-determined questions posed by a moderator,” according to a news release from the NRBBA.

District 5 Councilwoman-elect Laura Emdee, City Treasurer Steve Diels and City Clerk Eleanor Manzano, who are all running unopposed for their seats, will present 5-minute statements to the audience after the debate. A reception will follow.

The event is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at 415 N. Diamond St., according to the news release.

The NRBBA is a nonprofit organization that, unlike the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce, does not endorse candidates.

Here’s the schedule:

3:30–4:30 p.m. District 3 forum
4:35–4:40 p.m. District 5 candidate statement
4:45–4:50 p.m. City Treasurer statement
4:55–5 p.m. City Clerk statement
5–6 p.m. “Meet the candidates” reception
